New guide highlights online mental health support for students

We believe that no one should be held back by their mental health

NHS Wales’ digital mental health service has launched a new mini-guide outlining support designed specifically for students.

SilverCloud Wales provides guided self-help programmes based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT.

The service includes support for managing body image, money worries, drug and alcohol intake, mild-to-moderate anxiety, stress and depression. There is also a programme designed to help students build resilience.

Who can use SilverCloud Wales?

Anyone in Wales aged 16 or over can self-refer to SilverCloud for free.

How the programmes work

Programmes usually take around 12 weeks to complete.

You may only need to spend around 15 minutes a day, 3 to 4 times a week.

Your progress is monitored by trained supporters, who provide feedback every 2 weeks and can help you access further support if needed.
